Sonnet I²S-HDMI module

I²S is the best-sounding and most transparent connection method we know for digital audio.

This new module plugs into our DAC products, and can be fitted by the user. You can change your setup to I²S over HDMI when your streamer or transport has this connection. Placement is practically a Plug and Play procedure; as with all electronics, always touch and hold the chassis of your DAC while placing the module to prevent static electricity. Also make sure you properly align the HDMI connector with the cutout in the back panel.

No more hassle with custom made break-out cables:

- The new module has jumpers to change data pin-polarity where needed.

- With the 4 onboard jumpers the Left and Right channel (LRCLK jumpers) and audio signal polarity (SDATA jumpers) can be switched.

A handy table in the Attachments section shows which jumper settings to make before placing the module. If your brand is not listed, start with the 1A, 2B, 3A, 4B setting. You can then switch channels (1B, 2A) or audio signal polarity (3B, 4A) using the jumpers.

Since the introduction of the CD platform a lot has changed, but the I²S interface specification didn't. Although there is no international standard for I²S connections, the HDMI connector is very ubiquitous and versatile. Before ordering, please note that not all equipment is compatible!
